The Radio Controlled watches
The radio controlled watches receive a signal by the long-wave transmitter , which continually sends out time signals of the Braunschweig caesium atomic clock. Atomic clocks do operate with a deviation of only 1 second in a million years which is very close to the ideal time. If the watch is out of reach to receive the standard radio waves (max.1500km distance from radio wave transmitter, depending on atmospheric conditions ) it operates with the high timekeeping accuracy of a modern quartz watch
